Born in a small French Village near Quebec City, Analoga aka Hagiel can easily recall her first childhood memory. Being wrapped up in her mother’s arms while they danced in their living room to whatever song happened to be playing on the radio. She believes this is what sparked her life long love and innate talent for music. Growing up in the church, this was naturally a strong influence on Hagiel. She has spent years as a proud and grateful member of the People’s Gospel Choir of Montreal which has been a transformative experience, providing her with the tools to become a captivating performer and seasoned vocalist. With her roots being Caribbean and African it was important to Hagiel to stay true to her roots while also developing a strong identity of her own. She’s combined all her favourite genres, added some French Canadian Flare and started a whole new project of her own. While this a risky and scary move for her, Hagiel feels it is now or never. She has partnered up with award winning songwriter/producer Mark Zubek (Grammy-award Winner Betty Carter, Crash Test Dummies) to finally make her dream a reality. Hagiel will be releasing first ever album in the very near future. She has plans to make a big impact on the jazz/blues community with her unique vocal style and the positive message embedded in her lyrics.
